Beaver Dam Pond in Acadia National Park is along the Park Loop Road and has three beaver lodges (as of Oct 2016) which are not shown in this photo. I was going after the fall foliage and reflections on this beautiful, calm, fall day. The red tree and bushes along the shore line really caught my eye.
My love of the outdoors and interest in photography goes back many years. I've always enjoyed photographing landscapes and nature and sharing what I've seen with other people. Like many photographers, I was never happy with the processing done at my local lab and my interest in photography dipped for several years until the advent of digital cameras. I was extremely excited about digital photography and jumped on the opportunity to go digital with a Nikon D300, my first digital camera. My enthusiasm for photographing the outdoors was back and have been enjoying it immensely. When the Nikon D800 with its full frame sensor was released, I upgraded.
