Description
Francis Case was a senator from South Dakota, Chairman of the Senate's District Committee, who died in office in 1962.
As progress on Southwest’s Waterfront continues, the developer of the "Wharf" project unveiled a new lighting installation on the Francis Case Memorial Bridge. The installation, which brightens the bridge with a long strip of light, was designed by Citelum, the urban lighting company that’s worked on Eiffel Tower.
I waited for day when there was no wind to capture this scene of the bridge showing off the beautiful light. The cranes in the background will be there for a while as the Wharf project along the Washington Channel continues.
