Bodie Lighthouse is one of my favorites to photograph when visiting the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Each day can be different in lighting and mood. I arrived about one hour before sunset and was treated to some beautiful clouds. A panorama of four images stitched together was what I chose to capture the beautiful scene.
My love of the outdoors and interest in photography goes back many years. I've always enjoyed photographing landscapes and nature and sharing what I've seen with other people. Like many photographers, I was never happy with the processing done at my local lab and my interest in photography dipped for several years until the advent of digital cameras. I was extremely excited about digital photography and jumped on the opportunity to go digital with a Nikon D300, my first digital camera. My enthusiasm for photographing the outdoors was back and have been enjoying it immensely. When the Nikon D800 with its full frame sensor was released, I upgraded.
