Our nations capital has been a mecca for tourists to see the monuments, museums, and cherry blossoms. I live only 45 minutes away from downtown. This particular spot at the Martin Luther King Memorial affords the person na view of the MLK Memorial and Washington Monument. Go when the cherry blossoms are blooming makes for a beautiful photo opportunity.

My love of the outdoors and interest in photography goes back many years. I've always enjoyed photographing landscapes and nature and sharing what I've seen with other people. Like many photographers, I was never happy with the processing done at my local lab and my interest in photography dipped for several years until the advent of digital cameras. I was extremely excited about digital photography and jumped on the opportunity to go digital with a Nikon D300, my first digital camera.
