Besides one other photographer at the Tidal Basin in the morning, I had the place to myself for a beautiful sunrise over the Washington Monument. I found a nice place to frame the memorial with the cherry trees showing off their fall color.
About Dennis Kowalewski
My love of the outdoors and interest in photography goes back many years. I've always enjoyed photographing landscapes and nature and sharing what I've seen with other people. Like many photographers, I was never happy with the processing done at my local lab and my interest in photography dipped for several years until the advent of digital cameras. I was extremely excited about digital photography and jumped on the opportunity to go digital with a Nikon D300, my first digital camera. My enthusiasm for photographing the outdoors was back and have been enjoying it immensely. When the Nikon D800 with its full frame sensor was released, I upgraded.
