The Maligne River (/məˈliːn/ mə-LEEN)] is in the Canadian Rockies and runs through parts of Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada. On this overcast day, I was able to capture this thrift moving river. And yes, if you look close to the right of the rock in the background, there are two fly fisherman in the river.
My love of the outdoors and interest in photography goes back many years. I've always enjoyed photographing landscapes and nature and sharing what I've seen with other people. Like many photographers, I was never happy with the processing done at my local lab and my interest in photography dipped for several years until the advent of digital cameras. I was extremely excited about digital photography and jumped on the opportunity to go digital with a Nikon D300, my first digital camera. My enthusiasm for photographing the outdoors was back and have been enjoying it immensely. When the Nikon D800 with its full frame sensor was released, I upgraded.
