Memorial Bridge Canvas Print

Every time I went down to DC early in the morning to photograph the Memorial Bridge with the lights lit, I would no sooner get in position and setup and the lights would go off! This time I arrived in plenty of time not only to have the bridge lights on but the moon starting to set as well. I shot it with my 24-70mm lens at f/18 and 10 second exposure.

My love of the outdoors and interest in photography goes back many years. I've always enjoyed photographing landscapes and nature and sharing what I've seen with other people. Like many photographers, I was never happy with the processing done at my local lab and my interest in photography dipped for several years until the advent of digital cameras. I was extremely excited about digital photography and jumped on the opportunity to go digital with a Nikon D300, my first digital camera. My enthusiasm for photographing the outdoors was back and have been enjoying it immensely. When the Nikon D800 with its full frame sensor was released, I upgraded.
