Skyline Drive Crown-Vech Canvas Print

I've always enjoyed photographing the mountains and woods and am blessed with Shenandoah National Park not being that far from our home in La Plata, MD. I was driving along Skyline Drive when I spotted the Crown-Vetch growing along the rock wall with the fog drifting through the woods. I couldn't have asked for better lighting to photograph these pretty flowers.

My love of the outdoors and interest in photography goes back many years. I've always enjoyed photographing landscapes and nature and sharing what I've seen with other people. Like many photographers, I was never happy with the processing done at my local lab and my interest in photography dipped for several years until the advent of digital cameras. I was extremely excited about digital photography and jumped on the opportunity to go digital with a Nikon D300, my first digital camera. My enthusiasm for photographing the outdoors was back and have been enjoying it immensely. When the Nikon D800 with its full frame sensor was released, I upgraded.
