If you ever wanted to" see deeper" into the vast, open space of the Washington National Cathedral, then you should visit it during the one special day in the year when the darkened Cathedral's gothic architecture is illuminated by moving lights both inside and outside. The colors of the lights change about every ten seconds. Some of the lights move across the gothic limestone columns creating even more dramatic lighting.

My love of the outdoors and interest in photography goes back many years. I've always enjoyed photographing landscapes and nature and sharing what I've seen with other people. Like many photographers, I was never happy with the processing done at my local lab and my interest in photography dipped for several years until the advent of digital cameras. I was extremely excited about digital photography and jumped on the opportunity to go digital with a Nikon D300, my first digital camera. My enthusiasm for photographing the outdoors was back and have been enjoying it immensely. When the Nikon D800 with its full frame sensor was released, I upgraded.
