A must see for anyone visiting Washington DC is the Washington National Cathedral. The architecture of the cathedral is incredible and boasts 215 stained glass windows. This is a photo of the Nave taken from the balcony above the main entrance to the cathedral. The color in the ceiling is light coming through the stained glass window in the upper part of the cathedral.

All monies from the sales of this photo will be donated to the National Cathedral to help pay for the damage sustained from the August 2011 earthquake.

My love of the outdoors and interest in photography goes back many years. I've always enjoyed photographing landscapes and nature and sharing what I've seen with other people. Like many photographers, I was never happy with the processing done at my local lab and my interest in photography dipped for several years until the advent of digital cameras. I was extremely excited about digital photography and jumped on the opportunity to go digital with a Nikon D300, my first digital camera.
