Acadia Sunrise Canvas Print

I was fortunate enough to spend a week exploring Acadia National Park. One of my favorite parks on the East Coast. This particular shot was taken at Thunder Hole looking toward Sand Beach just as the sun broke over the horizon. I love the way the sun painted the clouds in the sky and illuminated the rocks along the coast.

My love of the outdoors and interest in photography goes back many years. I've always enjoyed photographing landscapes and nature and sharing what I've seen with other people. Like many photographers, I was never happy with the processing done at my local lab and my interest in photography dipped for several years until the advent of digital cameras. I was extremely excited about digital photography and jumped on the opportunity to go digital with a Nikon D300, my first digital camera. My enthusiasm for photographing the outdoors was back and have been enjoying it immensely. When the Nikon D800 with its full frame sensor was released, I upgraded.
